The BFR system for intuitive riding and braking

The BERG Buddy is equipped with the unique BFR system. BFR stands for Brake, Freewheel and Reverse. With the BFR system, you can brake with the pedals, and can also reverse immediately after stopping.

Adjustable to your height

If you want to have years of fun playing with the BERG Buddy, you can adjust the seat. The seat can be adjusted in three different positions, so you can always reach the pedals.

A stable and safe grip on the road

The BERG Buddy has excellent stability thanks to its four wheels, and is also equipped with a swing axle. This allows the front wheels to move slightly up and down to cushion any unevenness in the road.

A comfortable and smooth ride

The BERG Buddy has pneumatic tires, for an extra-smooth ride. These tires have less rolling resistance for easier pedaling. This means you can go faster! You'll ride with extra comfort on the BERG Buddy.

Prachtige skelter, mijn kleinzoon wil er niet meer vanaf, goede bouwstijl en degelijk gebouwd. Loopt door de wiellagering lekker soepel, alles wat je van een skelter mag verwachten

The only problem was the delivery
Aside from the problems with DPD, the product is great. My kid loves it, it's sturdy, robust and with good quality. At least so far. My only suggestion to the product is that it should have some kind of padding on the seat. Or include some cape with padding to put on. I only give 4 stars because of that and because it took 1 month to arrive, and a lot of headache. (it wasn't here for my kid's birthday, when it was supposed too arrive 1 week earlier.)

How should I maintain my go-kart?

Are BERG go-karts certified and safe?

A BERG go-kart undergoes extensive testing before it is released to the market. Internally, we test whether the go-kart is safe to use, ergonomically sound, and meets BERG’s high-quality standards. After that, the go-kart is also thoroughly tested by an external testing agency. This ensures that the go-kart meets all European safety requirements, allowing us to confidently apply the mandatory CE marking. In addition, our smallest go-karts are also TUV GS certified.

Are BERG go-karts durable?

All BERG go-karts are made with sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. We know exactly where each part comes from, which materials have been used, and that these materials are non-toxic and non-polluting. This ensures that the product is not harmful to your child and that we do not introduce toxic materials into the environment.

Need to replace a go-kart component? For every component apart from frames, we offer spare parts. When a tire goes flat, the chain snaps or some other part breaks, it can all be fixed through a spare part. This also applies to parts that are damaged or lost. This naturally ensures that a BERG go-kart can be used for an enormously long time, which makes BERG go-karts very durable.

How does the BFR drive work?

With the BFR (Brake Freewheel Reverse), there is a unique and patented system between the chain and the rear axle, specially developed for our BERG go-karts. This system allows the user to pedal, keep the pedals stationary while riding, use a back pedal brake and pedal in reverse after the go-kart has slowed down. This unique combination of features can only be found on BERG go-karts and is ideal for fast forward and reverse pedaling and braking.
