With direct drive, the crankshaft is directly connected to the rear axle by a chain. This means that the pedals always move when the go-kart is moving, and you can brake by holding the pedals still. This is a very easy way to learn to pedal, as it is easy for children to understand. Therefore, we use it on go-karts for the younger target group - the BERG Buzzy and the BERG Reppy.

EVA (Ethylene Vinyl Acetate) tires are solid, low-maintenance go-kart tires that cannot puncture and are made from durable and lightweight material.

Pneumatic tires consist of a rim, an inner tube, and an outer tire. They offer more comfort and grip but can puncture and leak.

At BERG, all small go-karts have EVA tires, while all large go-karts are equipped with pneumatic tires.

A BERG go-kart undergoes extensive testing before it is released to the market. Internally, we test whether the go-kart is safe to use, ergonomically sound, and meets BERG’s high-quality standards. After that, the go-kart is also thoroughly tested by an external testing agency. This ensures that the go-kart meets all European safety requirements, allowing us to confidently apply the mandatory CE marking. In addition, our smallest go-karts are also TUV GS certified.

Need to replace a go-kart component? For every component apart from frames, we offer spare parts. When a tire goes flat, the chain snaps or some other part breaks, it can all be fixed through a spare part. This also applies to parts that are damaged or lost.
